American Paint Horse
A breed highly valued for its color and markings, but it is also a favorite because of its unique refinement and intelligence
American Quarter Horse or Quarter Horse
Its name came from its ability to outdistance other horse breeds in races of a quarter mile or less. Excels at sprinting short distances
American Saddlebred Horse
They are used as driving horses, pleasure horses, jumpers, hunters, and more. Breed of riding horse possessing several easy riding gaits and great vigor and style.
American Standardbred Horse (Trotter or Pacer)
Best known for its ability in harness racing, where members of the breed compete at either a trot or pace.
Appaloosa Horse
Known for being trustworthy, so it makes a wonderful equine
companion. They are very gentle, as well as highly intelligent.
Clydesdale Horse
Noted for its high leg action while walking or trotting. Breed of draft horse named for and derived from the farm horses.
Philippine Light Horse (Baguio Light Horse)
Uneven head, short neck, chamfered shoulder, medium- length back, bushy mane, long and dense tail; strong legs with hard hooves.
Arabian Horse
Has long been a favorite the world over. It is thought to be one of the oldest breeds, and is known for its spirit and endurance.
Thoroughbred Horse
Best known for its use in horse racing. They make excellent sport horses, and are used as hunters and jumpers, and as mounts for dressage, polo and fox hunting.
Tennessee Walker Horse
Gaited breed of horse that was developed in the Southern United States during the 18th century. Its smooth gaits, such as the four-beat "running walk," make it comfortable for riding long distances.
Morgan Horse
Best known for its versatility. One of the oldest breeds developed in the United States.
Miniature Horse
Was developed in Europe in the 1600s. The breed has been kept as pets by nobility and used for work in coal mines.
Warmblood Horse
Not a breed but a group that encompasses a number of types and breeds. Known for their prowess as sport horses, excelling in jumping as well as dressage.
Andalusian Horse
They are used for dressage, driving, saddle seat and even jumping. It was known for its prowess as a war horse and prized by nobility.
