• look for and ensure there’s a strong positive correlation between old established measure and new measure

whether the measure predicts the results from another measure or not

weather results from research can be genralised to other settings or not, to increase:

• have a representative sample

what is population validity

weather the measure measures behavior in general population or not to increase:

• have a more representative sample that covers more cultures

what is ecological validity

whether results from the research can be generalised to the real world or not increase by:

• change experiment and make it as true to life as possible so it reflects what’s actually happening in the real world
