What is a Set?
A collection or group of numbers, letters, or objects.
What is a Sample Space?
The set of all possible elements or objects considered in a particular situation.
What is a Venn Diagram?
A visual representation that illustrates how all elements of the sample space are distributed among the events.
What is a Null Set (or Empty Set)?
A set with no elements, symbolized by ε or Ø.
What is the Intersection of two sets (A ∩ B)?
All elements that belong to both A and B.
What is the Union of two sets (A ∪ B)?
All elements that belong to either A or B.
What is the complement of an event A (A')?
All elements that are not in A.
What are Mutually Exclusive Sets?
Two sets that have no elements in common (A ∩ B = Ø).
