Removable Complete Prosthodontics
the branch of prosthodontics concerned with the replacement of teeth and contiguous structures for edentulous patients by artificial substitutes that are readily removable from the mouth by the patient.

a removable dental prosthesis that replaces the entire dentition and associated anatomy of the maxillae or mandible
Removable Partial Prosthodontics
branch of prosthodontics concerned with the replacement of missing teeth and contiguous structures for partially edentulous patients by artificial substitutes that are readily removable from the mouth by the patient
removable partial denture
a removable denture that replaces some teeth in a partially edentulous arch
Fixed Prosthodontics
the branch of prosthodontics concerned with the replacement and/or restoration of teeth by artificial substitutes that cannot be removed from the mouth by the patient.
fixed dental prosthesis
the general term for any prosthesis that is securely fixed to a natural tooth or teeth, or to one or more dental implants/implant abutments; it cannot be removed by the patient.
