High crawl
Use when: vegetation allows for concealment and you need to move at a faster pace. Method: cradle gun in arms against chest and crawl on your knees and elbows.
Low crawl
Use when: vegetation is too low for concealment (less than 1ft). Method: you are completely flat against the ground. Grasp sling of gun in right hand (towards the top of the gun) and let the rest of the gun rest on your arm. Use your left hand and your legs to drag/push you forward.
3-5 second rush
Use when: there is no concealment. Verbiage: "battle buddy cover me while I move" "covering" "moving. I am up, the see me, I'm down. Set" (repeat).
File
Prevents focused fire to front/rear; fast/easiest; apply when terrain is poor. Call sign=vertical hand to nose
Column
Limited fire power; moderate; platoon primary movement. Call sign=vertical hand to nose
Wedge
Heavy fire power; difficult; apply when enemy situation is vague. Call sign=pinky finger and thumb up
Line
Use only if you know the enemy is right in front of you and so you want a lot of fire power a the front.

Crossing a LDA as a platoon

Establish security with Alpha team. Bravo team forms a file, crosses, and establishes security. Then Alpha team crosses.
Successive bounding
Advance and halt. Wait for partner to the same and get on line with you. Repeat.
Alternate bounding
Advance and halt. Partner passes you and then you advance and pass your partner. Repeat.
