What safety features prevent the delivery of a hypoxic gas mixture?

Gas flow proportioning system and a pressure sensor shut-off (fail-safe) system that reduces or interrupts gas flow to the flow meters.

What are Gas Inlets and DISS used for?

Gas-specific connections (DISS) that ensure the correct gas is delivered to the system.

What is the purpose of Gauges and Sensors on the anesthesia machine?

To monitor pressures and flows to ensure safe operation.

What does a Pressure Regulator do in the anesthesia machine?
