What is Morality?
A system of values that helps distinguish right from wrong held by people in a society.
What does it mean to be a moral person?
A person who acts in accordance with the guidelines of goodness, honesty, fairness, and responsibility.
Where does a society get moral regulations or rules?
Natural law, 10 Commandments, family, friends, teachings of Jesus
What might prevent us from healthy moral behavior?
Peer pressure, a bad crowd, friends, mental challenges/illness, poor family upbringing
Examples of negative, unhealthy, societal behaviors
Wars, violence, bullying
What is a conscience?
A personal inner feeling and voice that directs your behavior into choosing what’s right and wrong.
Do all people have the same conscience?
No. People have been raised and exposed to different surroundings which causes consciences to be unique.
What is a Christian Conscience?
When we follow the teachings of Jesus to help guide our behavior.
What might prevent a person from having a healthy conscience?
To be raised without basic morals of knowledge, bad influence, bad school/home discipline
What would contribute to a healthy developed conscience?
A healthy family who disciplines you, good and hardworking friends, self-awareness, empathy, and a positive crowd, faith life
What is love?
A decision to put somebody before yourself.
What is Infatuation?
Temporary, casual, unserious
Are love and infatuation the same?

Moral Maturity
The ability to put yourself in another person's shoes and feel their pain. This allows you to grow morally.
