What makes people more vulnerable

• densely populated areas

• House quality(organic walls, poor fitted doors)

• Unsanitary conditions

• Age (under 5s)

• Stagnant water and rainy season

• 16-32 degree temp for parasite to develop

Mitigation of malaria

• WHO suggests nets, insecticides

• Bed nets reduces transmission up to 90%

• Burning mosquito coils

• Millennium development in 2000 helped reduce deaths by 3.3 million in 10 yrs
