Pentecost

How Confirmation became separated from Baptism
because of apostolic succession only the bishop could do confirmation; there were fewer bishops than priests so the local priests could baptize and then they would have to wait for the bishop to come to the village in order to confirm them.

- Sacraments of Initiation remain united.
- Baptism and Confirmation are both conferred by the priest using the sacred oils blessed by the bishop.

How the Western Church celebrates Confirmation.
- Separate celebrations of Baptism and Confirmation.
- There is an explicit connection between Confirmation and the bishop. The bishop is present for Confirmation.
- Baptism is celebrated with the ordinary minister. With infant baptism; Confirmation is delayed until the age of reason is reached and until the bishop is present .

to be a prophet means that you share your faith with others and volunteer and share your knowledge of God with others around you. you call others to christianity by teaching them. you teach outside of the Church through Bible groups and by volunteering at events

to be a king means to show caring and compassion towards others and to help others that are less fortunate or are in need of help. you can volunteer at a homeless shelter as an example
