Alternate Interior Angles
Angles 3 and 6

Alternate Exterior Angles
Angles 2 and 7

Corresponding Angles
Angles 2 and 6

vertical angles -) one pair

linear pair - one pair

Parallel Lines (Definition)
lines that never intersect

Transversal (Definition)
a line that intersects two ore more parallel lines

Corresponding Angles (Definition)
-Angles in the same place on different lines -they are congruent

Alternate Interior Angles (Definition)
interior angles, non-adjacent and on opposite sides of the transversal and congruent (equal)

Alternate Exterior Angles (Definition)
exterior angles, non-adjacent, and on opposite sides of the transversal and congruent (equal)

Consecutive Angles
interior angles that are on the same side of the transversal and are supplementary (180).

Supplementary Angles (Definition)
Angles that add to 180 degrees. (straight line)

Vertical Angles (Definition)
Angles that are across from one another. EQUAL (congruent) to one another.

Congruent Angles (Definition)
angles with the same measure

Complementary Angles (Definition)
two angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees (corner)

Lines
go on and on for everin both directions, extending infinitely.
Segment
has a start point and an end point.
Rays
Has a start point and countinues in one direction for ever.
Adjiacent Angels
are two angles that share a common side and vertex, and do not overlap.

Equilateral Triangle
All 3 sides and All angles, are congurant and angles each measuring 60 degrees.

Isosceles Triangle
2 side congrunt and 2 angle at base are also congrunt.
Composite
Something made up of more than one thing
Similar
Similar figures have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.
Zoom factor
Figures that can be created by multiplying each side length be the same number
Dilation
Shapes stay same and angles are congruent but size can change.
radius
half of a diameter
Circumference
Perimeter of a circle
Vertex
whenever the line meets to form an angle.
Scale factor
Factor which either enlarges or reduces image.
Dilatation with Negative number
You get a reflection over a diagonal y=x or y=-x and shape changes
Scale factor 1
Image stays the same
Scale factor 0 to 1
Image reduces in size
Scale factor bigger than 1
Image enlarges
