Drawing skills

calculated by the image/drawing size being divided by the actual size

Test for lipids

The use of ethanol , positive results is a cloudy emulsion at the top of the beaker , negative result in no reaction at all

Test for proteins

The use of the biuret test , adding drops of the biuret solution into the test tube (sodium hydroxide and copper sulfate), positive test results are from blue to purple/violet , negative test result no color change.

Test for starch

The use if iodine, add drops to the food sample , positive test results is the solution turning blue-black, negative test result in brown

Test for reducing sugars

The use of benedicts reagent , adding drops to the food sample and heating for about 3-5 minutes , remove the test tube and observe for any color change, positive test result is form blue to orange/brick red, negative test result the solution remains blue
