• surgeon will communicate hip (IR lengthwise to PT) or pelvis

• technologist works with surgeon to position the IR

• technologist takes shoot-thru image

• surgeon will look at picture

anterior- the incision is made at the front of hip, C arm is used throughout, AP

• technologist in surgical scrubs and ensure that the mobile/portable machine is functional and clean

• patient will be supine position

• technologist brings c arm over PT, center for pelvis and AP hip

• technologist used throughout surgery

ensure no rotation, use obturator foramen

after surgeon removes femoral head, they start to clean out acetabulum using power drill and special reamer
