Chris now weights 187 pounds. To find his weight, I had to calculate what 1/10 of his weight was by dividing 220 by 10 (220/1 x 1/10) and got 22. I subtracted 22 from 220 and got 198. Then I calculated what 1/18 of his weight was by dividing 198 by 18 (198/1 x 1/18) and got 11. So I subtracted 198 by 11 and got 187.

37 percent of students preferred pizza. I got this answer by first adding the amount of females (44) and males (30) that liked pizza together and got 74.Then I added the amount of students recorded in the whole table and got 200. Then i set up the percent proportion, 74/200 = x/100. I cross multiplied and got 7400=200x. I divided 7400 by 200 and got 37 as my answer.

the answer is 2. Since x is the # of dimes, I did x+4 (there are four more nickels). Then to find the amount of nickles there are x+4 would be multiplied by .05. To find the amount of dimes there are, x would be multiplied by .10. Add these amounts together and 1.25 will be the answer.
