Ophthalmoscope
An instrument that allows a doctor to see inside the back of the eye including the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels to check for diseases like diabetes mellitus
Astigmatism Chart Test
A test that determines if the eye is irregularly shaped or normal, indicated by the lines not being blurry

Pen Light
An instrument used to test the consensual reflex, accommodation reflex, and convergence reflex, by shining light into the eyes.
Convergence Test
A test that assesses the eyes' ability to work together by moving a pen light towards the nose.
Consensual test
tests whether pupils constrict equally when light shines in one eye.
Accommodation Test
A test that measures the pupil's ability to constrict and converge when shifting focus from far to near.
Color Blindness Test
A test conducted to determine if a person has colorblindness, often via colored numbers.

Blindspot Test

A test used to measure visual acuity by having an individual list letters from a chart; tests for 20/20 vision
