Sex-Linked Traits

Carrier

Someone who is heterozygous but does not display the trait; they just carry it and can pass it along to their offspring (must be female if it is a sex-linked trait; can be male OR female if it is an autosomal trait)

Codominance

When both alleles are dominant and the organism shows both traits at the same time (side by side)

Hemophilia

Sex-linked disorder where normal blood clotting factors are not produced leading to prolonged bleeding

Incomplete Dominance

When neither allele is dominant over the other and the organism shows a blend of traits

Multiple Alleles

Traits where more than two possible alleles exist
