Nursing is a professional discipline concerned with the promotion of health, the prevention of treatment and disease, and the alleviation of human suffering. The faculty ascribes to the belief that the purpose of nursing is to promote the well-being and empowerment of individuals, families, groups, and communities. We believe that professional nursing accomplishes these goals through a blend of health care sciences, clinical expertise, and caring practices. We believe that nursing is designed to address specific features of human environments that impact individuals responses to health care and is sensitive to diversity. Nursing collaborates with other disciplines to promote human wholeness and healing within a caring environment .
