Pralokita

Looking at both the sides in turns
Example: looking around or across or left to right

Nimilita

The eyes are in a half-closed position
Example: prayer, meditation, namaskaram

Ullokita

Looking upwards
Example: looking at the mountain, up at anything, etc.

Anuvritta

Looking up and down
Example: Anger, threaten, saying "What do you mean?" When smiling with anuvritta, it can mean friendly, greeting, and calling.

Avalokita

Looking down
Example: looking for something on surface, shyness
