Marketing generating new and improved products and adds value (or utility) to existing products

There are seven functions of marketing:

Explain factors that influence customer/client/business buying behavior (SP)
Buying behavior is the process that customers use to decide what they will buy, where they will buy it, and who they will be it from.
The different levels of Maslow's hierarchy of needs shows different influences.
Discuss actions employees can take to achieve company's desired results (SP)
When dealing with customers:
- Attention
- Interest (why the product is good)
- Desire (why they can benefit)
- Action
- Sale
Demonstrate connections between company actions and results (SP)
Company actions that affect customers and completion are advertising, pricing, product mix, product safety, payment options, locations, etc
Company actions that affect employees are technology, managerial ethics, production, investments, etc.
These actions affect companies, customers, employees, the environment, governments, etc
