Producer

A living thing, like a plant, that makes its own food.

Consumer

A living thing that eats other living things for food.

Herbivore

An animal that eats plants.

Carnivore

An animal that eats other animals.

Omnivore

An animal that eats both plants and animals.

Scavenger

An animal that eats dead animals.

Decomposer

A living thing that breaks down dead plants and animals.

Photosynthesis

The way plants make their own food using sunlight, water, and air.

Energy

What living things need to grow and move.

Habitat

The place where a plant or animal lives.

Biodiversity

All the different types of plants and animals in an area.

Life Processes

The things that all living things do to stay alive = Movement, Reproduction, Sensitivity, Growth, Respiration, Excretion, Nutrition.
