The period in Europe after the middle ages where classical learning, art, and wisdom were revived.

The Renaissance

A 16th century movement to re-purify the christian religion and reverse corruption from the Catholic church.

The Reformation

The act of denying firmly established views, beliefs, or practices of religion.

Dissent

The religous beleif hat a monarchs authority to rule comes from god.

Divine Right

The act of removing a high-ranking public official or monarch from their role due to severe misconduct or wrongdoing.

Impeachment

The supreme legislative body in England.

The Parliamet

A prior court decision that serves a reference a rule for a future case discussing a similer topic/conflict.

Precedent

A right or privilge exclusive a single indivisual or class.

Perogative

A member of the Protesten church - a church looking to purify Chrisitianity and remove catholic corruption.

Protesten

A member of the protesten church who felt that the reformation was incomplete and seeked to purify the christian religion.

Puritan

To betray your country, usually by attempting to overthrow the government by killing the monarch.

Treason

To take a position/power from someone else unlawfully or by force.

Usurp
