A category is distributed in a categorical statement if:
A statement says something about everything in the category
M categorical syllogisms
The middle term must be distributed in at least one premise
T categorical syllogisms
If a Term Is Distributed in the Conclusion, It Must Be Distributed in the Premises

At least one premise must be affirmative
N categorical syllogisms
If the syllogism has a negative conclusion it must also have at least one negative premise
U categorical syllogisms
If a syllogism has at least 2 universal premises, it cannot have a particular conclusion
