Steps to processing C-II orders
Through the handheld - you want to
1) scan the tote
2) scan all the UPC's (not the NDC) on the stock bottles in all the tote until it directs you to scan another tote
3) compare the quantity and the name of each C-2 stock bottle in each tote to what's stated on the inventory sheet provided by the supplier
4) gather all the C-2 stock bottles and start putting them away in their respective cupboards

When machine prints out label for a Rx you're trying to fill, it can sometimes also print out
a leaflet (when there has been a change in the prescription (that doesn't need to be stated on the label) for instance this prescription was transferred from another Walgreens store, etc: it usually won't print out with a medication we're refilling
How to fill a prescription
Printer will print out a paper that has barcode and drug name - you'll scan the barcode and drug and then label will print out.
Retrieving a drug to fill a prescrition can happen from three different sections at walgreens = what are they?
1) The fast rack (fast movers section);
2) Alpha section and
3) Unit-of-use section
How to deal with pop-up messages e.g. Serotonin syndrome
1) don't just jump into not filling the medication
2) see if patient has had that drug combination before, if yes then OK to dispense

Let's say you're filling a medication but the particular NDC is not there and you have another one - what do you do
1) Either hand the available drug to pharmacist and they will release it to fill with the new NDC
2) F2 -> search for patient last name -> update Rx -> from the top left corner click on (Options i believe) and scroll down to change manufacturer and go from there

1) Gather patient consent form and fill out completely the section that should be filled out before vaccine administration.
2) Fill out remaining sections that need to be filled out after administration
3) When you're prepping a shot from a vial don't withdraw syringe from vial before she Ok's it b/c if it's not ok - there could have been potential for contamination and hence product loss.
