In this system the parts provide the frameworks and protective shields for softer tissues, attach muscles, and act with muscles when the body moves.

This system moves air in and out of the lungs and exchanges gases between the blood and air.

In this system the parts contract and pull their ends closer together, which moves body parts. These parts also maintain posture and are a major source of body heat.

This system’s cells communicate using chemical signals called neurotransmitters and some of the cells are receptors that detect changes inside and outside the body and others receive information from the receptors and interpret and respond to them.

This system includes glands that secrete chemical messengers, hormones, that alter the metabolism of its target cells.

Cardiovascular System

In this system, blood carries gases, nutrients, hormones, and wastes. The system also transports oxygen from the lungs and nutrients from the digestive system through the body's cells where they are used in the metabolic process.

This system transports some of the tissue fluid back to the bloodstream and carries certain fatty substances away from the digestive organs and into the bloodstream.
