What is the formula used for objects in orbit?
ac = g prime
v²/ r or 4π²r / T² = GM / r²
(dont forget the mass in ac for circular motion)
Calculate the potential energy of something formula
Ep = -GM1M2 / R (add height to radius if there is any)
Work to move something to one height to another (usually up)
W = Change in Ep = Epf - Epi
Launching something from the surface of a planet to some height (maximum height)
Epi + Eki = Epf
Launching from surface into orbit
Epi + W = Epf + Ekf
Work done to move something from an orbit to a higher orbit
Epi + Eki + W = Epf + Ekf
