Boiling Point
The temperature at which the vapour pressure of a substance eqauls the atmospheric pressure
Melting point
The temperature at which the soild and liquid of a substance phase are at equilibrium
Vapour pressure
The pressure exerted by a vaopour at equilibirium with its liquid in a closed system.
Solubility
The property of a solid, liquid or gaseous chemical substance to dissolve (solute) to dissolve in a solid, liquid or gaseous solvent to form a homogenous solution.
Explain the solubity rule:
Polor and ionic solutes will dissovle into polar and ionic solvents while non-polar solutes will dissolve in non-polar solvents.
