أَلَمْ تَرَوْا

Did you not see

الْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَى

The firm handhold

سَخَّرَ لَكُم

He subjected for you

نِعْمَةً

A blessing

اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ

Follow what Allah revealed

أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى

A specified term

عَزِيزٌ

Almighty

دَعْوَى اللَّهِ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ

Call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in religion

يَجْزِي إِبْنُهُ

His son will repay him

ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً

Outward and inward

عَذَابُ السَّعِيرِ

The punishment of the blazing Fire

الْحَمِيدُ

The Praiseworthy

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what is in the hearts

الْعَلِيُّ

The Most High

يَعْظِمُكُمْ

He honors you

الْغَلِيظِ

Harsh

الْفَلَاقُ

The Cleaver (of dawn or seed)

وَاخْشَوْا يَوْمًا لَا يَجْزِي وَالِدٌ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ

And fear a Day when no father will avail his son

فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا

So do not be deceived by worldly life
