Acceleration
A change in motion caused by an unbalanced force.
Direction
A path that is straight where an object can move along.
Inertia
Tendency of an object to resist change in motion, remains unchanged.
Magnitude
An amount or strength of a force.
Balanced Forces
When two or more forces are pushing or pulling on something equally from all sides, so the object doesn't move or keeps moving at the same speed.
Unbalanced Forces
When two or more forces aren’t equal, so one side pushes or pulls harder and makes the object start moving, stop, or change direction/motion.
Newton’s Second Law of Motion
The harder you push something, the faster it speeds up. But if it's really heavy, it won't speed up as much.
Motion
When an object changes its place compared to other things around it over time.
Frame of Reference
A system used to describe an objects position or movement.
Net Force
Sum of all forces acting on an object.
Speed
How fast something is moving.
Velocity
Speed and direction of an object.
