Ideological Oppression

creation and maintenance of belief systems, idea that one group is somehow better than another

Interpersonal Oppression

the way violence is enacted, based in the oppression with relation to power, the idea that one group is better than another leads to mistreatment of individuals in the oppressed group, racist jokes, stereotypes, threats, harassment, how we speak to one another

Institutional Oppression

is demonstrated in institutions and systems reinforce and manifest ideology, institutions of the society, the laws, the legal system and police practice, legal, law enforcement, education, media, religion, medicine, banking/financial

Internalized Oppression

how we internalize the ideological ideas of oppression, means the oppressor doesn’t have to exert any more pressure because we do it ourselves and to each other, oppression from the outside doesn’t need to be fell for the damage to be done
