turn right only : can only go right from this point onwards

turn left only : can only go left from this point onwards

ahead only : can only go straight from this point onwards

turn left ahead : only turn left if continue to proceed ahead

turn right ahead : only turn right if continue to proceed ahead

split traffic : approaching vehicles shall pass on either side

keep left : approaching vehicles must pass on left of the sign

keep right : approaching vehicles must pass on right of the sign

stop : stop before indicated white line, give way to right and left traffic

stop children : must stop for children to cross

give way : slow down and give way to traffic on major road. stop if necessary

left turn on red : 1. always stop at red light when turning 2. turn left IF there is no pedestrians and cars passing
