Statistics
A scientific discipline that deals with the acquisition, organization, study, analysis, display, and interpretation of data.
Descriptive Statistics
Statistics that deals with summarizing and describing data, focusing on the center of data using mean, median, and mode.
Inferential Statistics
A form of statistics that allows researchers to draw reliable conclusions about a larger population based on a small sample.
Mean
The average value found in a data set, calculated as the sum of all values divided by the number of values.
Median
The middle value in a data set when arranged in ascending order.
Mode
The most common number in a data set, which may have one (unimodal), two (bimodal), or more modes (multimodal).
Measures of Central Tendency
Statistics that summarize a set of data by identifying the central point (mean, median, mode).
ANOVA
Analysis of Variance, a statistical test to determine if the survey results are significant, used to assess the equality of means among groups.
One-Way ANOVA
A type of ANOVA with one independent variable that can have two levels.
Two-Way ANOVA
A type of ANOVA with two independent variables that can have multiple levels.
