Bible
Sacred text believed by Christians to be revealed and/or inspired by God.
Bible as the ‘Word of God’
The belief that the Bible is not the invention of human beings, but is the Word of God.
Bible as a source of authority
Christians find the Bible is a product of God’s supreme knowledge and wisdom and so is true, final and definitive.

God making himself known to humankind

Writings that have special religious significance; those books that constitute the Word of God.

A rite through which a person who has been baptised affirms their Christian belief
Heaven
A 'place’ or ‘state’ in the afterlife where those who have accepted God’s grace will enjoy eternal existence
Hell
A 'place’ or ‘state’ of punishment in the afterlife for those who, through their own free will, reject God
