Anxiety
A generalized apprehension or vague feeling of danger when the threat is unclear or imagined.
Fear

Panic Attack
A sudden episode of intense anxiety involving physical symptoms such as chest pain, dizziness, and a fear of impending doom.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Phobia
An intense, unreasonable fear causing someone to avoid the feared object, activity, or situation.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
A disorder involving uncontrollable, recurring thoughts (obsessions) and the use of repetitive behaviors (compulsions) to reduce anxiety.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
A disorder that develops after a traumatic event, marked by symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, and insomnia.
Environmental Factors
Life events such as traumatic childhood experiences or major life changes that may contribute to anxiety disorders.
Symptoms of Anxiety Disorders
Common signs include feelings of panic, obsessive thoughts, inability to stay calm, trouble sleeping, and physical symptoms such as dizziness.
Coping Mechanism
A strategy or behavior used to manage stress and anxiety; avoidance can reinforce anxiety.
