How to solve rational equation word problems

pay close attention to the wording, and write an equation to represent the ratios being provided, clear the fractions using the least common multiple (lcm), use inverse operations to manipulate if needed, (may need to convert to standard form to factor easier) then solve like normal, check your solutions and make sure they make sense! If anything like negative 6 hours comes up (which is not possible) eliminate that from the equation
