Who meets Odysseus as he enters the city? What does she reveal?

Athene (disguised as a young girl) intercepts him and agrees to show him where Alcinous’ palace is. She also tells him the history of the family to prepare him for entering the palace and stresses the importance of pleasing the Queen→ We learn about the Phaeacians’ links with Poseidon as the family are descendants of him, this hints at future hostility

She envelops him in a mist so he cannot be seen by the Phaeacian people as he walks through the city
