• Covers a large geographical area

• Managed by different people (collective ownership)

What is the older version of IP software called?

IPV4

What is the newer version of IP software called?

How does a dynamic IP address work?

This works by everytime a device connects to the internet it is assigned a new IP address from a communal pool and when is returned when it disconnects.

• Routers

• Web Servers

What does URL stand for?

Uniform Resource Locator

What is a domain name?

A human friendly version of an IP address.

What do routers form a physical connection between?

Two or more networks

How is a routing table used when sending data?

It is used by a router to find the most efficient route for the data to take.
