Exceptional (Most Impressive)
Top-tier extracurricular achievements showing national/international recognition, such as finalists in national/international competitions, peer‑reviewed research publications, large‑scale impact startups, high‑profile leadership, or widespread project adoption.
Highly Impressive
Second-tier achievements that demonstrate strong impact, including leading impactful clubs, major athletic honors, state/national competition success, substantial paid internships, and well‑known personal projects with broad reach.
Solid but Minimally Stands Out (Could be Better)
Mid‑tier activities with noticeable effort or leadership but without exceptional outcomes, such as moderate leadership roles, participation in varsity sports without awards, part‑time jobs, consistent volunteering with some impact, and personal projects with limited reach.
Limited Impact
Lower‑tier activities with small scale or short‑term involvement, including minor club roles, JV/local competition participation, short‑term internships/volunteering, unpaid work without leadership, and personal projects with limited reach.
Least Impressive (Minimal Impact)
Lowest tier activities showing general participation or low‑effort commitments, such as general club membership, casual volunteering, attending programs without distinction, or hobbies with little demonstrable impact.
