Ventricul
A cavity or chamber in the brain that is filled with cerebrospinal fluid.
Choroid plexus
A structure in the ventricles of the brain responsible for the production of cerebrospinal fluid.
Lateral ventricle
A C-shaped structure found in each hemisphere of the brain.
Third ventricle
A narrow, bird head-shaped cavity located between the two halves of the thalamus.
Interventricular foramen
The passageway that connects the lateral ventricles with the third ventricle.
Cerebral aqueduct
A long stem-like passage connecting the third ventricle with the fourth ventricle.
Fourth ventricle
A flat bottom part of the ventricular system located between the brainstem and the cerebellum.
Glossopharyngeal nerve
The ninth cranial nerve responsible for taste and other functions in the throat.
