idea that God is one, but exists in 3 diff person:

    —> God the father: Creator & sustainer of all things

    —> God the son: - incarnation of God, as a human being (Jesus)

    —> Holy spirit: - power of God which is active in the world

  • wasn’t spared of pain & horror

Jesus forgave those who crucified him

  • Christians who accept Jesus’ sacrifice are no longer destroyed by sin in their lives, God forgives those who faithfully ask for it

the belief that Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday conquering death

What’s the resurrection of Jesus

  • 1) Placed in a tomb on Friday

  • 2) angels told men Jesus had risen & to spread the message

  • 3)Christians believe resurrection shows power over good & evil

    —> accepting Jesus means they will also be resurrected (in a way)

    —> no need to fear death

What’s salvation?

to be saved from sin and its consequences a result of Jesus being crucified on the cross.

  • enables humans to get close to God again & be granted eternal life

Christians believe there are two main ways to get salvation:

  • salvation through good works: through faith in God and obeying God’s law: eg ten commandments

  • Salvation through grace: Salvation is given by God through faith in Jesus & his teachings; a gift for being faithful
