Privacy TORT

Wrongful act other than a breach of contract for which relief may be obtained in the form damages ($) or an injunction.

Appropriation

Uses a plaintiff's name, likeness, or image without their permission for commercial purposes.

Intrusion on seclusion

When someone intentionally intrudes, physically or through electronic surveillance, upon the solitude or seclusion of another.

Public disclosure of private facts

An action that prohibits disclosing facts about another person's private life, if the facts disclosed would be highly offensive to a reasonable person and if they are not of legitimate public concern.

False light

Spreading falsehoods about a plaintiff that would be considered objectionable by the average person.
