Lennie got into a fight with Curley bc Lennie was smiling from their talk about the dream and Curley thought he was laughing at him. Lennie broke “every bond” in Curley’s hand which Slim said that it was caught in a machine for the boss/no one to get suspicious

Lennie saw a girl with a red dress and wanted to touch it so he went up to her and started touching her, causing her to be scared and tell the manager “he raped me” causing them to hide and eventually leave to their current job
