Wealthy countries typically use an unporportiante amount fo energy, increasing carbon dioxide emissions. However, they also typically have the economic resources to put forth "going green." In addition, they are the most populous, meaning that they are also going to increase the resource demand.

2. Climate Change - governments, corporations, and individuals fail to consider the cumulative effect their action have on our shared environment (global warming.)

3. Depletion of natural resources - Common resources consumed too quickly→ immediate gains are undercut by long-term dangers.

4. Animal Extinction - overfishing/overhunting→ organisms are depleted by individuals acting in their own self-interest
