Data analysis
the process of breaking up the whole study into its constituent part according to the specific question under the statement of the problem
thematic analysis
method of analyzing qualitative data. Usually applied to a set of texts, such as an interview or transcript
Inductive analysis
allowing the data to determine your themes
deductive approach
analyzing the collected data with preconceived themes you expect to find based in an existing theory
data presentation
•Section where your gathered data are arranged accordingly for analysis and interpretation.
•Organized in sequential and meaningful classification, which most often are logical and responsive to the purpose of the study.
Textual presentation
data can be presented using paragraphs or sentences
tabular presentation
data is arranged in rows, columns and helps present even a large amount of data in an engaging, easy to read, and coordinated manner.
graphical presentation
Data are presented using graphs or charts, such as bar, pie, line, and the likes. The variation of the results of the study will be observed in diagrammatic form or pictorial form.
bar graph
•Graph shows differences individual value in horizontal manner.
•It works better when comparing different independent groups or separated categories
column graph
•Graph shows differences individual value in vertical manner.
•It works better when comparing different independent groups or separated categories
line graph
•Graph shows different points/change over in time.
•It shows several points which shows relation and joins successive data points.
•Best use for trends and patterns or tracking progress.
area graph
•Graph shows relationship of different parts to a whole over time.
•Emphasizing a part-to-whole relationship overtime ; when one part is very large, or changes from being very large to very small.
pie graph
•This graph shows the proportions of each segment of a whole. This graph only handles one data series.
