Started in Persia and imported from the middle East made from a woven fabric with a solid background and added imagery on top

Aquamanile

Unicorn-shaped vessel with a spout used for cleaning hands before and after meals associated with royalty and nobility. Made with brass or bronze.

Book of hours

devotional book for person commissioning it, decorated with images that are secular.

Illuminated Manuscripts

Lavishly illustrated images on the boarders of pages in the BOH intended to concentrate the reader back to the text (secular)

A type of printing that is multi-layered and is accessible to everyone
