What does a Distance-Time Graph represent?
It represents the distance on the y axis and time on the x axis.
What does the slope of a Distance-Time Graph represent?
Velocity
What does a constant slope on a Distance-Time Graph indicate?
Constant velocity (no acceleration)
What does an increasing slope on a Distance-Time Graph indicate?
Increasing velocity (accelerating)
What does a decreasing slope on a Distance-Time Graph indicate?
Decreasing velocity (deceleration)
What does a zero slope on a Distance-Time Graph indicate?
Zero velocity (at rest/stationary)
How do you calculate the slope if the slope is constant (straight line)?
y2-y1 / x2-x1
How do you calculate the slope if the slope is not constant?
By drawing a tangent and calculating the slope of that tangent.
