Stage 1: Sensorimotor (Birth-2 years)
Infants learn through sense and actions. They develop object permanence and basic cause-and-effect understanding
Stage 2: Preoperational (2-7 years)
symbolic thinking, pretend play, and rapid language growth. Thinking is intuitive and egocentric; not yet logical
Stage 3: Concrete Operational (7-11 years)
children develop logical thinking about concrete objects, understand conservation, rules, and classification. Thinking is logical but not abstract.
Stage 4: Formal Operational (11+ years)
Adolescents develop abstract thinking, hypothetical reasoning, complex problem-solving, and long-term planning.
