Olfactory
Cranial nerve with vision function
Optic
Cranial nerve with eye movement function (3)
Oculomotor
Cranial nerve with eye movement function (4)
Trochlear
Cranial nerve with masticatory movements and facial sensation
Trigeminal
Cranial nerve with eye movement function (6)
Abdurens
Cranial nerve with facial movement and some taste sensation
Facial
Cranial nerve with hearing and balance functions
Auditory vestibular
Cranial nerve with tongue and pharynx movement and sensation
Glossopharyngeal
Cranial nerve with heart, blood vessels, viscera, movement of larynx and pharynx functions
Vagus
Cranial nerve with neck movement function
Spinal accessory
Cranial nerve with tongue movement function
Hypoglossal
A collection of axon fibers in the brain and spinal cord (within the CNS).
Tract
A bundle of axon fibers running together outside the CNS.
Nerve
Corpus Callosum
Band of nerve fibers that connects the two brain hemispher
Ventricles
Fluid-filled cavities in the brain. Filled with cerebral spinal fluid.
Enteric Nervous System (ENS)
Formed by a network of neurons embedded in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract. The “second brain.”
