Humans are naturally curious about a lot of things. You can use your curiosity to come up with an interesting research topic, Look around you. Keep a record of observations that make you wonder. Jot down questions that you have in mind but which are unanswered. Note everything that you find interesting. It may be in the field of science, math, English, and technology. It may also be a controversial issue.

After deciding on your topic, the next step is to check your library for availability of literature and related studies. It is necessary that there are - available resources that could help you substantiate your research proposal Gather as many related literatures as you can. It may be a magazine article, a newspaper, a thesis, a book, or a journal. Anything that gives you relevant information about your topic will be helpful in writing your research paper.

With your research topic, research questions, and outline, you are now ready to write you research paper. You, then, have to expand your outline by explaining or discussing, and giving examples. Establish the strength of your research paper by justifying its importance and citing reliable references. This is possible if you have done extensive reading and gathered sufficient literature.
