The theme of Sweeney Todd
Revenge because Sweeney Todd is out to seek revenge on the judge after transporting him across the seas
What Is thrust staging
It’s a T bar shape where the audience is on three sides and the actors have a piece of stage in the middle to walk down into the audience so they feel more connected to the actors
Describe one way in which you helped to communicate this main theme through acting
I used a high pitch to show that I wanted to be heard and seen as important
I used open body language to show that I was confident and wasn’t scared of fighting for what I wanted
Activities I carried out during rehearsals to prepare for my performance
I completed a writing in role. I did this this by writing a letter to my character to find out more about them and get to feel connected to them
Hot seating this is where you sit in a seat and are asked quick fire questions about your character that you have to answer on the spot this helps me get a back story for my character
Evaluate the effectiveness of your final performance
I used movement well by having open body language to show that I was a very confident individual, I also had a straight posture the whole time to show that I think I’m above everyone else. I used a formal register to show that I am posh and better than everyone. I also used a firm tone to show that I’m important and people need to listen to me I emphasised words to do with Me to show that I have the power and used a load volume to sure that I am to be heard.
