A noun ending in -o, -or, -aje, or -ma is masculine
A noun ending in -a, -dad, -tad, -cion, or sion is feminine
Nouns ending in -e have no patter, have to learn each case separately
Nouns ending in -ista (often professions) are both: el pianista and la pianista
Words ending in a vowel: -s (A E I O U)
For words ending in a consonant: -es
