Basilar suture
on the underside of the skull, its the suture line in front of the foramen magnum (closer to the teeth)
Sagittal suture
the suture that runs down the middle of your skull, articulates with parietal and frontal bones
Coronal suture
located at the front of the skull, makes a ‘crown’ shape and separates the frontal bone from the parietal bones.
Lambdoid suture
located on the back of the skull, forms a triangular shape that separates the occipital bone from the parietal bones.
Squamous suture
the suture located on the side of the skull that separates the temporal bone from the parietal bones.
